What are the rules concerning chat at the tables?

You are here

Players using prohibited language on chat will be subject to a warning or will have their chat privileges removed.  Prohibited chat includes (but is not limited to):

Profanity:  Profane, vulgar, racist or abusive/insulting language will not be allowed at our tables. We use a filter to automatically block words deemed unacceptable on our site.  Any player attempting to bypass the filter may be subject to a warning or will have their chat permissions removed.

Begging:  We do not tolerate players begging for chips.  Any player found doing so will have his/her account closed and will be banned from the site permanently.

Solicitation:  No solicitation is permitted in any game at any time.

Chat Flooding:  Multiple or frequent messages to the chat window drowning out legitimate chat are forbidden.

Non-English chat:  English is the only language permitted at the tables in chat.

You can block an individual player's chat clicking on the player’s nickname and then clicking the chat box icon on the pop-up window:

Please report any chat offenses directly to our Support Team quoting the exact hand or tournament id and the nickname of the player in question.  Players are reminded not to engage in retaliatory chat as this will likely result in both players’ chat privileges being removed.
